Through ReadUP, volunteer tutors spend an hour a week reading with two students for thirty minutes each. The program benefits third-grade students, helping them improve reading comprehension, vocabulary and fluency skills. Tutors can also work in teams of two sharing a volunteer spot and alternating who attends the session each week.
Volunteers can choose from options on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, at schools located in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion and Morgan county. Please visit www.uwci.org/readup!
