Camp Boggy Creek is a nonprofit camp for children with serious illnesses in Eustis, FL.
Our programs create opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families to reach beyond illness and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities, always free of charge.
As one of our campers, Hailey said:
"It’s not about the activities, it’s about the people. You can be friends with anyone at camp without fear of being judged unfairly.
It’s more than just a place to have fun. It’s an island where the world is a nicer place."
The 24th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children will take off with a roar on Sunday, October 7, 2018, when over 600 motorcyclists will leave Destination Daytona, and receive a police escort all the way to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, FL. Once at camp, riders will enjoy both silent and live auctions, music and a buffet lunch generously donated by Outback Steakhouse.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday and Sunday to assist with beverage stations, auction, event set up and breakdown.
*Note Saturday volunteers will be at Destination Daytona, Ormond Beach, FL.
Sunday volunteers will either be at Destination Daytona or at Camp Boggy Creek.
Important Note: Due to the serving of alcohol all volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. All volunteers must be able to stand for a long period of time and be able to lift 20 lbs.

Camp Boggy Creek makes it possible for children with serious illnesses and their families to experience a free, life-changing camp where safety, respect, love, and joy come together to enrich their physical and behavioral health.
Description
Camp Boggy Creek is a year round medical camping facility for children, ages 7-16, who have chronic or serious illnesses. We are part of the SeriousFun Children's Network, founded by the late actor Paul Newman. We serve over 13 different illness groups including heart disease, HIV, sickle cell anemia, and cancer. The children who come to our camp come absolutely free of charge along with our volunteers. We are a not-for-profit organization, which depends entirely on the monetary generosity of others, as well as on the volunteer man-power to help make this experience happen for these children.
Our programs allow our kids to experience fun, adventure, and independence: catching their first fish, shooting a bow and arrow, or climbing the "tower" while helping them to create some incredible memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
