Interlock Media, Inc. located near Google in Kendall Square, MA, is an activist film company that points to solutions for environmental, human rights and public health challenges. We support informed policy by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic UX Web Designer to forward our mission, and grow as a member of our team. As UX web designer, you will manage websites for Interlock and its documentary films. We are looking for someone who is both proficient in front-end layout and has some back-end coding experience as well.
The ideal applicant has an interest in developing a solid website with a good eye for layout design and usability. Best of all would be experience creating and managing websites with particular emphasis on the integration of graphic designs, social media, and video. Proficiency in WordPress, HTML, JavaScript and PHP are a definite plus.
We applaud excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Applicant should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment.
For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one.
Hours: Min. 20 hours/week. Additional hours are welcomed. Position is typically 4 months.
Compensation: None.
Location: Working on site is preferred. Convenient access to public transportation and just across the river from Boston.

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise
Salary: None Qualifications:
Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
