We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our early education program! Volunteers will assist with the planning and teaching of lessons, and help both small and large groups of young children approximately 2-10 years old with crafts, games, snacks, and our touch tank and other exhibits. Volunteers will be working together to create a fun and educational environment for our young visitors! We are always looking for new ideas to make our programs better, and we need volunteers to help us in that goal!

About SEA Discovery Center
Location:
18743 Front Street NE, POULSBO, WA 98370, US
Mission Statement
Promote lifelong learning and appreciation for the marine environment and underwater technology by enhancing science education with hands on learning and conservsation.
Description
The SEA Discovery Center is a hands-on facility. We don’t believe in "do not touch". Our tidepool touch tank allows you to interact with most of the animals you will find on your next Puget Sound beach walk. You can get up close and personal with several species of sea star, anemone, urchin, crab, shrimp, even a sea cucumber and other surprises!
Experience over 100 species of marine plants and animals found in the Puget Sound. The center’s combination of our touch tank, theater, and uniquely designed aquariums work together to help you understand the nature of our inland waterways.
The SEA Discovery Center is supported and operated by Western Washington University. Our main focus is to promote lifelong learning and appreciation for the local marine environment by providing science education with hands-on learning and conservation.
We welcome visitors of all ages to learn more about the creatures living in the waters that surround us.
