No Kid Hungry's Summer Meals Program
Help serve the people who need you most!

Help Those Who Need You Most!

Volunteers needed to work with youth 18 and under at summer meal sites in Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties. Volunteers are needed for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week from May - August. For more information please visit http://www.nokidhungry.org/

Duties Include:

  1. General assistance: Help out at sites by providing set up assistance, distributing meals and assisting with meal consumption and clean up.

  2. Activities: Many children do not get to attend summer camps or other fun activities, so we try to make the meal experience fun. This also can increase the number of children who attend the meal. You can help with programming by:

  • playing games that exist at the site with youth

  • teaching a new game or activity at a site, such as an interactive science experiment, yoga, arts and crafts, neighborhood cleanup, mural

  • Coordinating a community resource to visit a site (such as a theatre group, dentist, nutrition educator, firefighter, etc).
