MISSION
Humble Design serves those emerging from homelessness by transforming their empty house into a warm, welcoming, uplifting beautifully furnished home with donated furniture and household goods.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Humble Design serves families emerging from homelessness by transforming empty houses into welcoming homes using donated furniture and household goods. Our designers personalize homes
based on our clients’ needs and preferences. Be an exclusive sponsor of a SERVICE DAY family!
* $3500 to 5K single-event sponsorships available
* Approximately 5-7 hour time commitment
* 6 employees assist Humble team with furnishing a home

SERVICE DAY TIMELINE:

  • 8:30am: Arrival at warehouse
  • Tour and orientation on Humble and the family you will be helping
  • Load vehicles and travel to family’s home
  • 10:00am-2:30pm: Furnish & decorate
  • 2:30pm: The big reveal
  • Experience a family’s joy as they arrive for a walkthrough of their new home
  • Group photo of your team with the family
  • 3:00pm-3:30pm: Departure

Humble design is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2009. Humble Design's mission is to connect families emerging from homelessness with furnishing resources. Humble Design helps transform four bare walls into a safe, dignified and welcoming home by re-purposing gently used household goods, thus allowing family members to focus on improving education, home life, employment, and building a better future.

Description

Humble Design is a non profit that uses 100% donated furniture, beds and household items to furnish homes for families coming out of homeless shelters in Metro Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle and San Diego. To date, nationally have helped over 2200 families.
