Need your support for our Salsa, Salud and Sabor (Salsa, Health and Flare) nutrition class offered free of charge to Hispanic families, funded by Aetna. Be part of this 8 weekly series, with sessions being held on Thursday evenings.
The curriculum includes tasty foods and fun physical activities such as Salsa dance. A light dinner is provided; families participating in preparation and learn healthy choices and techniques to help practice what they've learned, and includes a children's segment.
We are a flexible, family friendly environment that works with families raising children experiencing challenges with any of the child serving systems: Medical, behavioral health, education, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, or child-welfare, to name a few.
You may be able to volunteer for 2 hour shifts (minimum) but we would prefer a full 4 hour commitment for each of the 8 week.
