We are looking for individuals that want to offer their enthusiasm and support to families in trying times.
Our Childs Bedside Program is in essence a snack and beverage cart that reaches all the families within the UCSF Children’s Hospital. We go from room to room, bedside to bedside and offer treats to families. The importance of this program is overwhelming and with the request of the hospital satisfaction surveys we have recently bumped it up to 7 days a week! You and a partner will be pushing a coffee cart and distributing beverages and snacks to all the families in the Children's Hospital.
Our program allows for families to have human contact out of the medical field. A smile and kind gesture makes a tremendous impact on their days. Some families never leave their childs bedside and our volunteers are the only non-medical staff they see.
Current coverage needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from roughly 12:45-3:30pm. This position will require a 12 month commitment.
Please go to www.ronaldhouse-sf.org and click on the volunteer tab. Click Apply Now and fill out our online application.

Mission Statement
The mission of Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco provides a safe haven for critically ill children and their families.
Description
Our caring staff and volunteers have been helping families since opening our doors in 1989. The RMH-SF provides temporary housing, home-cooked meals and supportive services for families while their children receive specialized treatment in a San Francisco hospital. The House offers a home-like environment where family members find comfort through supportive staff, volunteers and other families in similar situations.
Families are stronger when they are together, and their presence helps a sick child heal faster and cope better. While we cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to get and keep their child healthy and happy. Last year, 111 families found respite at our House for a combined total of 3,329 guest night stays, all because of the love and generous donations of our donors and volunteers.
