ORGANIZATION: Monticello Help Center

The Monticello Help Center (MHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing hunger in the community and restoring hope to the people served. It administers the local food shelf and clothing center.

Primary duties:

  • Support the organizations mission and vision of reducing hunger and restoring hope.
  • Maintain knowledge of current strategic plan, by-laws, programs, policies and staff.
  • Prepare for and attend all board meetings and functions.
  • Serve on committees and take on special assignments, fulfill commitments.
  • Assist in fundraising.
  • Assist Board in carrying out fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Serve as an advocate for the organization.

Experience and Traits Desired:

The MHC is seeking passionate and motivated individuals with a wide array of skills who want to make a contribution. The candidates desired traits include honesty, integrity, ability to work well with people, and honoring one's commitment to the organization.

The Board of Directors meets the second Monday of the month 6:30 p.m. - 8:.00 p.m.

The Monticello Help Center (MHC) operates a food shelf and clothing center in the city of Monticello MN.

MHC was organized in 1974 and incorporated as Christian Social Services Inc.

The Monticello Help Center is here to serve the people of this community and to meet their basic needs. We provide these services with a spirit of kindness and caring. We want our clients to feel comfortable that their needs will be met, they will maintain their dignity, and the services received will be completely confidential.
