The kitchen is the heart of every home and we don’t want to skip a beat. Our kitchen provides a space where families not only find nourishment but a space where they find they are not alone.
After spending hours upon hours in the hospital with an ill child, one may lack the energy and resources to take care of themselves. This is where incredible volunteers- like you, can make a huge difference by providing a family style meal.
As a Family Meal Volunteer, you will have the flexibility to volunteer as little or often as possible. This is a great project for individuals that cannot commit for long periods of time but appreciate the value of sharing a moment.

Mission Statement
The mission of Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco provides a safe haven for critically ill children and their families.
Description
Our caring staff and volunteers have been helping families since opening our doors in 1989. The RMH-SF provides temporary housing, home-cooked meals and supportive services for families while their children receive specialized treatment in a San Francisco hospital. The House offers a home-like environment where family members find comfort through supportive staff, volunteers and other families in similar situations.
Families are stronger when they are together, and their presence helps a sick child heal faster and cope better. While we cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to get and keep their child healthy and happy. Last year, 111 families found respite at our House for a combined total of 3,329 guest night stays, all because of the love and generous donations of our donors and volunteers.
