Friendly Hair Stylist at San Juan Village

San Juan Village is an affordable housing program serving low income families and seniors. We are looking for licensed hair dressers to come to the apartment complex and provide free haircuts for our residents. Volunteers serving in this capacity will be required to set up and take down (including clean up) the space needed to provide the haircuts. Volunteers will be responsible for dictating their own schedule and the number of residents that they can accommodate for any given visit. Residents are male and female, children and adults, so the hair dressers will need to be comfortable cutting and styling hair for all of them. Hair dressers will be required to bring all tools/supplies for each visit. Because our residents are low income and their budgets do not allow them to get the much-needed haircuts, this opportunity will allow them to look presentable for work and school, which will contribute to the well-being of the whole family. The volunteer will receive words of appreciation, big smiles, and beautiful faces in addition to refreshments.
