Volunteers assist in the repair, construction, and upkeep of the facility. Volunteers regularly walk the grounds, addressing maintenance issues as needed, and help with various maintenance projects. Experience with hand tools and general maintenance is preferred.
Maintenance work is typically done between 9a-5p Monday through Friday. Please visit the Nature Center or http://lakekatherine.org/volunteer-opportunities.cfm to obtain a volunteer application. Description
Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens is an 85-acre non-profit park that includes woodlands, prairie, wetlands, gardens and a 10-acre lake. An estimated 100,000 people come to the park each year to hike, jog, walk their dogs or to simply enjoy the beauty of the gardens and the abundant opportunities to see wildlife.
