Circle of Children is inviting web developers to assist us in the design of a social media and next-level crowdfunding platform to fuel youth-led projects for world change.

What is GEM?

Global Empowerment Mandala (GEM) is designed to unify young people and support their creative brilliance by providing the tools, guidance and resources they require to take their solutions for peace and make them a reality. One of the tools through which we do this is a social media platform that makes it inspiring and easy for young people to get involved. This virtual hub will be a space dedicated to sharing resources and expressing our unique gifts in service to a collective vision for peace and positive change.

We are inviting youth (ages 12-24), community mentors, schools, non-profit organizations and eco-conscious companies to join GEM’s philanthropic community network. Everyone who joins will be invited to support youth members by offering resources, mentorship, volunteer opportunities and any other gifts they find it within their hearts to provide. This ensures that young people who join the network will receive an abundance of opportunities and resources to support them as they set out to create positive change in their local and global community.

GEM's Social Media Platform

We are designing a social media platform that will be clean, attractive, extremely user friendly and highly functional. Our intention is to make it look beautiful and flow intuitively. We have the concept all laid out, but we need your help to bring all of the elements together in one beautiful presentation!

By joining our team you will be making a significant difference in the lives of many of today's youth. You will become a part of a world-changing project that is empowering young people, building community, creating an economy of gift-giving, and redesigning education through project and service-based learning.

GEM Team:

The GEM Website Development team is being led two volunteer professionals who are fully dedicated to this project and have skills in computer programming and software development. We have several volunteer web programmers who are currently working with us, and we are looking for 1-2 designers to create the face of GEM. Much of the branding has already been done by our graphic designers, but this project is in a state of evolution, and we are open to your creative input to help us achieve the desired results!

Specific Skills:

Our primary need is people that are skilled in HTML/CSS and JavaScript. The project involves MeteorJS which includes NodeJS, MongoDB, and Handlebars. Overall, we are looking for programmers who are self-driven and can help build a social media platform and a crowdfunding platform.
