Project Independence is a volunteer based program to give additional support to seniors while recuperating from an illness or after release from a hospitalization. Clients are referred to Project Independence for assistance with transportation, companionship, light housekeeping and errands. The program lasts for 6-8 weeks. Volunteers can spend up to 5 hours per week assisting the client. This program is offered to seniors 60+ years within Collin County.
