The Puffin Cultural Forum brings socially relevant arts and performance programming to the community through art exhibitions, music, dance, theater, workshops, film, lectures, and more. We are seeking people friendly, responsible volunteers to join our team in creating a caring, enjoyable and organized atmosphere for audiences and performers.
Event Volunteers:
Interact with talented artists, staff and patrons and experience outstanding arts events while contributing your efforts to this respected community resource. Our valued volunteers are the public face of the Puffin! Your responsibilities may include:
- General event set-up (checking reservations, collecting donations, distributing tickets, labeling seats, etc.)
- Assisting performers, special guests, audience members
- Preparation, coordination and cleanup for pre-event and intermission receptions
- Assisting staff in other event activities as needed
Student and Professional Volunteer Opportunities:
Sharpen your skill set, build your resume and lend a hand for social progress! We have many opportunities for engagement for students and professionals including:
- Press release and technical writing
- Photographing and blogging of events
- Publicity specialist to help us promote events
- Sound and stage engineering
- Office administration
- Art moving, exhibition installation
- IT and Computers

Mission Statement
The Puffin Cultural Forum, a project of the Puffin Foundation Ltd., is the gallery and performance space located at the site of the Foundation's administrative offices in Teaneck, New Jersey. Our work takes place at the intersection of the arts and the struggle for human rights as we seek to realize in our local community the Foundation's governing motto: "...continuing the dialogue between art and the lives of ordinary people". We deeply believe in the crucial role that the arts play in shaping our consciousness, and the role of artists as agents of social change.
Description
We serve as a community outreach for the Puffin Foundation Ltd. in northern New Jersey. We are a resource for the public schools, offering arts workshops, guided gallery tours, and theater presentations concerning important issues of our time. We strive to bring thoughtful, socially-relevant, and provocative arts programming to all of the surrounding communities of our diverse area in the form of art exhibitions, music, dance, theater, author interviews, workshops, film series, lectures, and dialogues.
