VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY. Advocate for resident's rights in Long Term Care Facilities with mediation and resolution. A federally mandated program which includes three days of training. Hours: 5 per week between 10:00am & 8:00pm. Minimum year commitment. Transportation is often necessary, and mileage reimbursement is provided. Russian speaking advocates for seniors are especially needed in the Roslindale and Brighton areas, and a nursing home in South Boston. Email for more information

Description
Ethos is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1973 (as Southwest Boston Senior Services) for the purpose of serving the elderly and handicapped of Roslindale, West Roxbury, southern Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park and western Mattapan. The agency provides approximately 4,000 people per year with services such as: case management, protective services, homemaker/personal care, transportation, congregate and home delivered meals and volunteer opportunities.
