Volunteers are needed for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services' food distributions, which take place at offsite locations throughout Sacramento County. Food Distribution volunteers will interact with clients, staff and other volunteers and will provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude to ensure great relationships and a positive atmosphere during distributions. We'd love to have you join our team! Most food distributions take place during weekday business hours.

Mission Statement
Sacramento Food Bank Services (SFBS) is a private non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those in need by alleviating their immediate pain and problems, and moving people toward self-sufficiency and financial independence. SFBS accomplishes these goals by educating the community about health and nutrition in our demonstration garden; facillitating ESL instruction and GED prep tutoring; providing tools and resources for those seeking employment; providing parents with guidance and their infants with food and diapers; strengthening families through a program of ethics and self-esteem; providing early childhood education and after-school youth services; feeding the Hungry fresh, local produce; clothing the Poor; providing companionship to isolated seniors in the community; and providing high-tech knowledge for youth. SFBS relies on the support of individuals and businesses in the community in order to lead people from the depths of impoverishment to the pinnacle of self-actualization. This is accomplished by people donating goods and/or volunteering their time to give back to those in need. United Way Certified Agency
