Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity-Delaware County, PA Inc. builds simple, decent and affordable houses, so that homeowners can live and grow into all that God intended.

Description

Homes are built and sold to partner families at no profit and no interest. This is achieved in part by soliciting donated or "at cost" materials and services. Labor, in the form of construction crews, is largely based on volunteers. Previous construction experience is not required. Volunteers only need a desire to help and to sign a waiver release form. Construction volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Each member/volunteer brings unique life experiences and skills to the affiliate. Board members plan, provide leadership, materials, financial resources, and serve on our standing committees: Construction, Church Relations, Family Selection, Family Support, Finance, Volunter, Fund-Raising, Nominating/Recruiting, Office Operations, Public Relations, Site Selection.
