The Milwaukee Art Museum is looking for friendly and responsive people who enjoy art and working with the public to join our vibrant community. Volunteers will welcome Museum visitors at entrances, offer navigational assistance, and general information on the Museum. After an orientation, volunteers are asked to work a minimum of 4-6 hours per month from Monday through Sunday. There are standing and seated positions available.

Our possible positions: Main Entrance Greeter - Greet visitors and direct them to the admissions desk. Feature Exhibition Attendant - Welcome visitors to the exhibition, offer Family Guides, and use a clicker to count the number of visitors entering the exhibition. Permanent Collection Attendant - Welcome visitors, use a clicker to count the number of visitors entering the exhibition, and ensure the safety of the artwork by reminding visitors of Museum rules.

Terms: Site is handicapped accessible Benefits: Training, discounted parking, complimentary admission, discounts in the museum store and cafe.

With a history dating back to 1888, the Milwaukee Art Museum's Collection includes nearly 25,000 works from antiquity to the present, encompassing painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative arts, prints, video art and installations, and textiles. The Museum's collections of American decorative arts, German Expressionist prints and paintings, folk and Haitian art, and American art after 1960 are among the nation's finest.

Milwaukee Art Museum Volunteers greet Museum visitors at entrances, offer navigational assistance in the Museum, distribute audio guides and assist with general office projects/special events.

Milwaukee Art Museum Volunteers greet Museum visitors at entrances, offer navigational assistance in the Museum, distribute audio guides and general information and assist with general office projects and special events. After a brief introduction/training session volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one 4-hour shift per month from Monday through Sunday. There are standing and seated positions available. We are looking for friendly and outgoing people who enjoy art and dealing with the public.
