As our clients with disabilities grow in age, they need help with motivation to exercise and learn new ways of staying fit. As a Fitness Fanatic, you have the opportunity to help clients like John stay in shape and build healthier eating habits. Design a work-out routine based on clients’ level of motor skills that fits to your schedule! Depending on your preference, we can assign one or more clients to train. Past workout leaders, like Vicki , have done things like dancing and air hockey to help these individuals stay active. What kinds of life-changing workout routines will you create to better the lives of these individuals?
As a Vita-Living volunteer, you have the ability to change lives everyday for those less fortunate with developmental disabilities. To see what volunteering means at Vita-Living, check out this recap of different volunteer experiences in 2015 and a first-person POV video about our "Vita-Living Voices" awardee for 2015. To sign up as a volunteer, please complete our online application here.
