Hospice Volunteers Needed! (RI)
Hospice patients need you! Are you a good listener? Are you compassionate? Are you looking for an opportunity to bring joy to others? If so, then Beacon Hospice would love to welcome you to our team! We have several volunteer opportunities available:
visiting patients at their bedside
sitting vigils
knitting, crocheting, quilting blankets
creating memory posters
providing music therapy
reiki
pet therapy
veterans visiting other veterans
assisting in veteran's pinning ceremonies
Bereavement volunteers
Skills Needed:
Active listening skills, the ability to laugh, sensitivity, compassion and a desire to make regular, visits with someone who's season of life is growing short. There is no need for medical knowledge, hands-on care, or lifting of any kind.
