Fairmont Hospital Skilled Nursing
The Fairmont Hospital Campus is set in the San Leandro foothills below Lake Chabot. Fairmont is a rehabilitation facility for patients in need of long-term skilled nursing care, with patients staying anywhere from three months to many years. Volunteers with Fairmont Skilled Nursing gain invaluable experience and knowledge of what "patient care" truly is. Volunteers help care for the patient residents at Fairmont, which includes victims of violence, spinal cord injury patients, patients with traumatic brain injuries or neurological conditions, and patients who are on a ventilator or respirator. A rewarding experience!
