Do you have an interest or hobby that you enjoy discussing or teaching? IMCC needs volunteer presenters and discussion leaders for our Reconnections group. Reconnections is a program for individuals in the early stages of dementia. Our participants enjoy learning about a variety of topics in a small group setting which promotes socialization and cognitive stimulation. Join our group on a one-time basis or once a month depending on your schedule. Discussions can be based on travel, music, science and technology or any appropriate interesting topic.
We are looking for volunteers to come to one (or both!) of our Reconnections locations:

Insight Memory Care Center (IMCC), formerly Alzheimer's Family Day Center, is a nonprofit adult day health and resource center providing specialized care, support, and education for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments, their families, caregivers, and the community. Serving Northern Virginia since 1984, IMCC offers a spectrum of holistic care, with a vision of a community where those affected by memory impairments can achieve the highest quality of life.
