Content Creation (Social Media/Marketing) Assistant

One of the best ways for non-profit's such as us to interact with our community and find supporters is through social media and proper marketing, and we are hoping you can help us do just that!

We are looking for someone who can assist us in the various steps of the engagement process, including:

• Planning, creation, and implementation of content for our various social media pages and website, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Content topics would include things such as: requesting regular donations, fundraising events, posts highlighting our various cats and their personalities, adoption related news, shelter announcements, etc.
  • Designing the visual elements of the content is currently done primarily in Canva, but we are open to other software
• The planning and design of other marketing tools, such as flyers, posters, emails, etc.
• If in the shelter during the day, taking pictures and videos of the cats and day-to-day activities
• Contributing to the monthly newsletter, via design and/or segment ideas
• Make suggestions of ways that we can better market to and engage with our communities, both the Greater Houston Area as well as cat lovers on a national and even international level

• Strong communication and comprehension skills
• An extensive understanding of how to use the social media platforms we utilize
• The time to consistently contribute to the planning, designing, and posting of content. We post on our social media frequently (almost daily), design multiple flyers and posters for every event we host, as well as send emails 1-3 times a month, so need enough unique content to keep up with this schedule.
• The ability to work closely and collaboratively with at least 2-3 other individuals working in the same position.
• A love for cats!
