The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. Become a volunteer visitor for an elder in Marin county, at a location near you! This is a very rewarding volunteer job, as you get to visit with an older adult in their home. The goal is to increase social connections for both volunteer and older adult through great conversations.
Receive training in interpersonal and listening skills
Are matched with an older adult to whom you will provide friendly companionship and a compassionate presence.
Time Commitment: 6-month minimum, visiting your match at least every other week, with a recommendation of weekly. You decide a time that works for you and your match.
Must be over 18 or if younger, have an adult with them and must pass a background check.
