There are countless ways volunteers support the USO, but they all share dedication to our service members and their families. Whether it’s helping out at a special event, welcoming home or giving a deployment sendoff, manning a front desk or providing a listening ear, our volunteers are the reason our Active US military know they can count on the USO.
Central Florida USO is operated almost entirely by volunteers, and we are always looking for dedicated members of our community to help us in our mission to keep our service members and their families connected to family, home and country.
Volunteers support daily operations at the USO Center at the Orlando International Airport - seven days a week from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm (four volunteer shifts per day). Volunteers also support our local programming with active duty service members and their families in the greater Orlando/Space Coast area - stretching four counties.
Prospective volunteers will be asked to attend an orientation session and complete a training session during the on-boarding process.

Mission Statement
The USO strengthens America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to our nation. That mission is accomplished on a daily basis thanks to the dedication and generosity of the American people. Whether it is a commitment of time from a volunteer or a contribution of dollars from a donor, USO Central Florida turns this generosity into centers, programs and services that reach troops across 14 counties in Central Florida.
Description
USO Central Florida Orlando touches the lives of thousands of active duty military members and their families through a wide range of programs and services directed toward lifting their spirits and morale. Dedicated and caring USO volunteers provide support, comfort, entertainment, and personal connection to the troops and their families in their time of need.
Family strengthening, employment and education, community reintegration, health and recreation, are programs the USO provides in addition to address the "invisible wounds" of our wounded, ill and injured. USO Central Florida Orlando's primary mission is to ensure that America's troops and their families are treated with the utmost respect and know that they are not alone.
