Camp Erin
Bereavement Camp for Children & Teens

We are currently recruiting male volunteers for The Community Hospice's Camp Erin program!

Camp Erin is a free weekend overnight camp (Sept 22-24, 2017) for children (aged 5-17 years old) that are grieving the death of a family member or friend.

This unique program combines traditional, fun, high-energy camp activities with grief education and support. Campers have the opportunity to remember their loved ones, develop coping skills and enjoy a positive camp experience.

Located at the Fowler Camp and Retreat Center on Sacandaga Lake in Speculator, NY, transportation will be provided from Rotterdam, NY.

60 children attend annually, and we stay in cabins of 5 children, divided by age, with 5 adult volunteers of the same gender (12 cabins total).
