Elara Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking to add volunteers to our team. We are searching for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference, self-motivated, brimming with creativity and up for a challenge.
Our Bereavement Coordinator is seeking a volunteer who is passionate about the field of psychology, counseling, and/or social work. She is looking for a volunteer to help run bereavement reports, make bereavement calls to families, assist with bereavement mailings, and keep an updated list of community resources.
Computer and internet skills are a must. The ideal candidate will possess a proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.), be detail oriented, well-organized, dependable, and able to work well both collaboratively and independently.
Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm; within that time frame we are flexible with how many hours a volunteer can offer, and at what frequency.

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
