This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.

Hello -

The SF Bay chapter of the American Cetacean Society is growing! Are you looking for a creative volunteer opportunity that will make a difference to youth, adults, the environment, research, and cetaceans? If so, then come and join us!

The Volunteer Events Coordinator plays a key role in growing the organization’s capacity to develop and motivate teams of volunteers with a "many hands make light work" philosophy, and fulfilling service requests within the San Francisco Bay Area cetacean- and marine-sciences community.

The Volunteer Events Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the chapter’s pool of volunteers and assigning volunteers to projects and events.

A note about location: Although most communication can happen through remote channels, ideal candidates will reside in the San Francisco Bay Area in order to attend meetings, as needed.

If you're interested in making a tremendous impact, while having fun and learning more about the Bay Area's amazing marine environment, please e-mail us at for more information.

Thank You!
