BrAiDs N BeAdS Non Profit Organization

"BrAiDs N BeAdS" youth development project helps at risk females ages 8-16. Each participant is engaged in structed after school activites including interactive workshops that address self esteem, conflict resolution, hygiene and health. Our program is designed to empower youth to graduate high school, decrease the achievement gap and become productive members of their families and community.

**On site volunteers are needed every Wednesday from 4:00PM until 6:00PM , locally in Houston, TX . Virutal volunteers are needed for graphic design, brand development, grant research and data entry.

Empower girls age 8-18 residing in low socioeconomic communities to graduate high school, strive for excellence and decrease the achievement gap.

Description

Our program is housed on site in the community room at several low income housing communities throughout Houston, TX. Each participant will be engaged in structed after school activities focused on self esteem, conflict resolution, hygeine and health. Participants receive free hair braiding service, in order to cater to their cosmetic needs which are directly associated with confidence levels.
