Volunteers Needed! The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce reception area is staffed by Volunteer Information Professionals (VIPs) Monday through Saturday, from 10 am until 2 pm. Our volunteers greet visitors and answer questions about local attractions, distribute visitor information, sell souvenirs (postcards and seed packets), keep our brochure racks neatly stocked and occasionally assist Chamber staff with the assembly of visitor packets.
Additional volunteers are needed to fill out our weekly schedule, and you may volunteer as often as you like - most of our volunteers are here just twice a month. Your schedule is geared around your availability. If the 10 am to 2 pm shift doesn’t work for you, we can definitely use help from 2-5 pm, too!
There is some downtime in between visitors, so you are welcome to bring a book or tablet or something to do. We would also welcome pairs of volunteers coming together to keep each other company.
The only requirements are that you are familiar with the Lompoc Valley and surrounding areas (or willing to learn about the ammenities of the Lompoc Valley!), like to meet people and have a positive attitude. Description
The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is an association of businesses and individuals organized to promote and maintain a strong economy and quality of life in the Lompoc Valley. We are an organization of business-minded people within the community dedicated to maintaining a favorable business climate and safeguarding the interests of its members. The Chamber accomplishes cooperatively for the individual business enterprise what that business could not achieve alone.
We are located in downtown Lompoc at 111 South I Street, on the second floor. We are open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
