Provide food assistance and hope to our neighbors in crisis. Crisis Control Ministry seeks to be people who embrace person-centered relationships. We offer a client-choice food pantry model to create a dignified experience for neighbors in crisis to shop for what they need. Food Pantry Assistants help make this possible.
As a Food Pantry Assistant, you'll be responsible for the following:
- Welcoming neighbors into the food pantry and explaining the shopping process.
- Keeping the pantry shelves organized and well stocked.
- Assisting neighbors during their shopping experience.
- Loading groceries into neighbors vehicle as needed.
- Light housekeeping such as sweeping the floor, disinfecting counters and carts, wiping down shelves, and cleaning up spills.
Requirements for this position are:
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to read and understand Date and Rotation policies.
- Good organization skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Availability to serve on a weekly basis
