We need volunteers who know how to sew. Very simple machine (straight stitching) or hand stitching. Sewing project can be done at home. We need covers for hand warmers and shoulder warmers to be used by our volunteer blood donors.

Samples and templates will be provided. You sew at home, however if you are near a Sacramento area Vitalant donation center or our Mather Headquarters the finished warmers should be delivered there to be filled with rice at Mather by other volunteers and then distributed to donation centers.

If you have cotton (or cotton blend) fabric scraps to share that would be wonderful.

Fabric rectangles needed: 3"x 5" for finished sewn rectangles measuring approximately 2 2/3" x 4 1/2".
