Hospice Volunteers:

*Provide respite care so caregivers can take a break, run errands or take a nap

*Assist with light household tasks

*Provide support to the bereaved hospice family

*Co-facilitate grief support groups

Vet-to-Vet: Mayo Clinic Health System-Hospice is in need of Veterans who are willing to share some of their precious time to help a family that is providing end of life care for a loved one.

Veteran patients are paired with Veteran Hospice Volunteers who may have a better understanding of what the Veteran has experienced. Hospice volunteers who also are Veterans will have the unique ability to support other Veterans who are terminally ill.
