Planet Rehab is seeking a Film Intern to develop and produce informational videos for the organization.
About the Organization:
Planet Rehab is an environmental nonprofit with the mission of protecting the environment by nurturing the relationship between humanity and nature. Its Animal Sanctuary is home to more than 350 rescued and donated animals. Planet Rehab has three main goals: environmental education, habitat protection, and species propagation. Responsibilities:
- Create a vision for videos showcasing Planet Rehab’s accomplishments
- Align the videos’ content with one or more of the organization’s goals (e.g., fundraising, education)
- Establish a format for the videos (e.g., music video, crowd source funding, public service announcement, on-location documentary)
- Produce, direct, film, and edit the videos in the format established
Qualifications:
- Current student or graduate of a Film Production, Visual Arts, Communications or related discipline
- Written and oral communication skills
- Previous video directing/editing experience
- Passion for the environment is a plus
Time Commitment:
10-15 hours/week for a minimum of 3 months. Duration can be adjusted according to the intern’s and Planet Rehab’s needs. Schedule is flexible and will be set at the beginning of the internship.
Benefits:
This internship will provide the opportunity to develop skills in video production and project management. Interns will have the opportunity to build their portfolio and gain professional experience by creating their own film projects for a nonprofit organization.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. College credit may be offered on request.
