This is your opportunity to learn about family services from the inside out! Work either mornings or afternoons one to two days per week; some evening slots are available also.
Assist the counseling clinic with the following activities: Answering phones and scheduling intakes. Problem solving with clients. Helping with all organizational scheduling, arranging appointments with monitors, Flling, editing, updating files, calling therapists, putting together training materials, rescheduling appointments, and other program duties. May also be selected to train as a monitor. Forty hour training, including observing monitored visits. observing in family law court, etc.(if over 21)
If you have good phone and computer skills and want to learn the counseling business from the inside, help us by volunteering two days each week. We look forward to meeting you!

Mission Statement
F.A.C.E.S. mission is to provide community based no and low cost professional counseling and other services for children and their families in crisis from separation and divorce, and to provide education to prevent family violence. FACES is a training facility, offering opportunities for learning about therapy and working with California family law courts, social services and other community organizations.
Description
Family Assessment Counseling & Education Services, bettter known as F.A.C.E.S. was founded in 1988 for children and families in crisis.
Our Programs were developed in response to community needs They include:
- Family and Child Counseling, monitored visits, anger management, parenting classes, single parents groups, co-parents groups, teen anger management, childrens groups.
- Education Services for professionals who work with families. English and Spanish, Farsi, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.
Fundraising events include a volunteer recognition lunch, a barbecue, a gala dinner in the fall, a pie eating contest on CSUF campus, a Thanksgiving Feast for volunteers, several restaurant fundraisers, a casino night and Hearts in Action every year in February.
