Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian is currently seeking volunteers for our Family Resource Center (FRC).

The FRC is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers are crucial to our mission of providing high quality patient-centered care to patients and families.

We are seeking volunteers throughout the day and on some evenings. Interested candidates may apply at www.nyp.org/volunteer.

The Center is a great place for families to relax, a place to get away from the bedside for a brief time and very importantly, to get assistance with obtaining reliable medical information pertaining to their hospitalized or out-patient family member. We have four computer workstations and a business center that families use to fax documents, scan to e-mail and copy health related materials for reading or sharing. Additionally, we have a growing reference library and recreational reading material. Volunteers assist with welcoming families and assisting them in using the computers, giving directions, visiting the units to distribute books and other materials and assisting the Health Librarian and Administrative Assistant with various clerical duties as well as with projects that we are working on.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Volunteer Services
