We currently are seeking to recruit board members that give us a more balanced representation of the people we serve. We would like to have parity in gender participation (we currently only have 4 men on the board) with greater representation from young adults (under 35) and somewhat greater from middle-aged adults (35-55). We strongly encourage minorities and recent Veterans to apply. We hope to expand our 14 member board to 17 by 2017. We currently have no Adams Representatives.

Volunteers from Adams County can praticipate from their home counties or may drive into Portsmouth for quarterly meetings, much of our decissions are made via email. We also generally have at least one major fund raising event anuually that board members are expected to support with their time.
