SHIP (State Health Insurance Program), known in PA as APPRISE, is a very intensive volunteer opportunity for the right person who loves to learn a complicated subject then make it easier for others to understand. Medicare is a very difficult program that needs a lot of time to understand and navigate. Our APPRISE counselors receive on-going training to help others save money, get the most out of their benefits and educate beneficiaries so they can make the best choice possible for their individual situation. This is an extremely satisfying volunteer opportunity but it does require a lot of training and dedication.

The next three day trainings will begin in August. We would like to get a dozen new volunteers so we can be ready for the next Annual Open Enrollment period which begins October 15. Does this sound like something you can sink your teeth into? If you are ready for a challenge that has meaning and impact, becoming an APPRISE COUNSELOR is for you! Call me or reply to volunteermatch.org

Thank you.
