Pay it Forward! Do you know any amazing men who are looking for a rewarding volunteer opporunity!?
As a One Good Deed volunteer, you will make a life long and lasting difference in another persons life, gain an incredible and rewarding friendship, and you can do it in a couple of hours a month! You will be carefully matched with a senior who lives near where you live or work, who enjoys the same activities and has similar interests. You will be matched with the same individual, and will spend a few hours a month visiting with your new friend to build a bond and friendship and provide companionhip and support! One Good Deed volunteers have shopped for groceries, read mail to their visually impaired friends or taken their senior friend out for lunch, or even a concert! Our fantastic volunteers help run errands, plant flowers, play cards, or help someone to email their grandchild!...providing valuable companionship and enhance the quality of life for our incredibe older adults! One Good Deed is a non profit organization that matches volunteers over 21 with older adults ro help support their independence within their own home.
Description
One Good Deed matches volunteers with an older adult to aid them with simple daily tasks. Our volunteers provide companionship and encouragement, and help with a variety of day-to-day activities. As a One Good Deed volunteer you might prepare a meal, spend a morning or an afternoon in companionship, grocery shop, assist with paying bills, run errands, play a game, change a light bulb or a battery in a smoke detector, or other forms of companionship and support!
Since 2006 our volunteers have served over 30,000 hours of assistance! We've helped hundreds of older adults live independently ~ One Good Deed at time!
The assistance needed does not require special skills or certifications - it just takes the willingness of caring volunteers and a couple of hours a month to make an impact One Good Deed at a time!
