We are looking for volunteers to contribute 16 hours per month on a 4 hour per session basis in teaching, training and mentoring youth on learning to program lego mindstorm robots. No experience in needed other than the desire to work with underprivileged youth. This is a great resume building for Information Technology Entry level jobs.

The Rights 2 Life Foundation Inc. is a federal 501c3 that provides program services resolving many disparities in the lives of youth, underprivileged citizens and families from impoverished backgrounds. The partnership with Connections 2 Atlanta in implementing project Teach-IT Program with The Rights 2 Life Fdn Inc., allows us to provide S.T.E.M (Science Technology Engineering and Math)/S.T.E.A.M (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math)/ field technology training to youth in diverse backgrounds right in our neighborhoods. We hope to introduce our youth to computer programming and provide an understanding of embedded systems to give them a bridge to cross the digital divide.

Our mission is to provide this resource to our youth and provide a better opportunity to educational attainment of technology based career skills. As we move further into our reliance on technology it is important that our youth understand how to obtain it, how to use it, how to maintain it and how to create it.

Our vision is that the youth engaged in this program will find opportunities in the S.T.E.M/S.T.E.A.M fields and gain a desire to build their skills to more advanced levels of technology training and education. Our youth will face many obstacles, however envision our youth to excel in the areas of technology distinguishing their abilities from the environment they currently live. Through hard work and determination our youth will learn that they can change the world around them through education and find the key to the path of success on their own merits.
