We are an animal rescue primarily focused on dogs and cats. As part of our efforts, we attend a variety of events throughout the year. Our primarly focus at such events are: 1) finding forever homes for animals in our care 2) educating the public on responsible pet ownership 3) attracting new volunteers.
As a volunteer at such events, you will be interacting with the public, answering questions for them, handing out literature and possibly hold a leashed dog or walk a leashed dog.
Example of events we have attended: Frederick County Bark in the Park, Bark in the Park at the Frederick Keys, and adoption events at a variety of locations.
We prefer those 18 and up, but might consider younger volunteers with their parents or legal guardians.

Mission Statement
- To our animals: We promise to provide a warm home, nutritious food and clean water, timely and quality veterinary care, daily exercise, attention, and training. We will take the time to get to know you and your personality, your likes and dislikes, and any special needs so we can find a wonderful home where you will be loved and cherished by your family forever.
- To our adopters: We promise to provide accurate descriptions of the animals available for adoption and work with you to find a pet that will fit well into your family's lifestyle and requirements. We will provide timely and useful advice and resources to address any issues or problems you may encounter and answer any questions you might have. We will support you for the lifetime of your adopted pet and beyond. Once you adopt from Tomorrow's Promise, you become a part of our family!
- To our community: We promise to address the problems that create homeless pets. We will provide humane education to reduce cruelty and neglect of companion animals, encourage and support spay and neuter to reduce future generations of homeless pets, provide information and advice to reduce the need to give up a beloved pet, and collaborate with community partners to find homeless pets a place to call home and address other animal welfare issues.
- To our volunteers: We promise you will be treated with dignity and respect. We will appreciate your contributions and the time and effort put in to making Tomorrow’s Promise a success. We will give thoughtful consideration to every comment and suggestion we receive. Without dedicated volunteers, there would be no Tomorrow’s Promise.
- To ourselves and all our supporters: We promise to operate with integrity, accountability and transparency. We will adhere to the best practices in business, nonprofit, and rescue management, and meet the highest standards of animal care. We will work tirelessly to be a model rescue organization and to improve constantly.
