Richmond-area homes & facilitiesRichmond, VA 23219

Ascend Hospice in Virginia is looking for talented, caring, and creative needleworkers to provide comfort blankets, tactile cloths, & other homemade items for terminally ill clients in the Richmond area through our dementia support and bereavement programs. Qualified volunteer applicants will join a multidisciplinary team, receive training and supervision, and make a difference during an important chapter in peoples' lives. Woven and/or sewn items can provide special comfort and stimulation to people at the end of life, particularly those impacted by dementia. They can also become beautiful keepsakes for families facing grief and loss.

If you are looking for a way to share your time, unique talents, and compassion with those in need, this is a great opportunity to make a lasting impact.

We would love to work with you!!!
