ORGANIZATION: Action for Boston Community Development

Responsible for teaching the Food Dollars curriculum to older adults looking to make changes in nutrition and lifestyle, as well as stretching their food budget. Must attend a 2 day training, 6 hours total. Responsible for leading a 2 hour class once a week for 6 weeks and purchase a healthy snack for each class which will be reimbursed. Perform other related duties as needed. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. Experience with public speaking and making presentations required. Must enjoy being with older adults and have demonstrated an interest in health and nutrition. Must commit to lead 2 or more 6-week Food Dollar classes over the course of a year. Ability to travel to various neighborhoods throughout Boston required. Minimum of a high school diploma / GED, with a 12 th grade reading level and fluency in English required. Ongoing and 2 hours per week for 2 continuous 6-week periods throughout the year.
