The camp is hosted from Chandler, but the actual site is 25 miles east of Payson, AZ.

This is an awesome way to help show teens who have been abused and neglected that there are safe, loving adults in the world. There is a 2:1 counselor-to-campers ratio with plenty of extra staff to offer support. The schedule includes many fun activities to share with your camper.

Please check us out at chandlertrac.com and fill out an application. We need you!!!!

Here is the level of commitment:

1. Interview with the Leadership Team

2. Background check (finger print cards cannot be used)

3. Attend an 8 hour training. Location at Crossroads Nazarene Church. Address is above.

4. Greatest need is for a counselor to two campers for either boys camp or girls camp - gender specific. Support staffing roles also available.

Camp dates:

Girls camp June 13-16

Boys Camp July 11-14

We are not a church camp; however, we are a Christ Centered group of volunteers who strive to show the love of God with biblical principles in a fun, safe, loving atmosphere.

Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity.

Mission Statement

Every year, abused teens are put into the foster care system or worse- end up on the streets as part of our homeless population. At T.R.A.C. and T.R.A.C.life we provide hope through camping and mentoring programs designed especially for these youth.

Description

T.R.A.C. is a positive, faith-based summer camp where youth ages 12 to 15 that may have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment, can experience unconditional acceptance and receive encouragement from people who care about them.

T.R.A.C. campers explore the outdoors, learning team work and participating in activities that improve trust, self-value and teamwork. T.R.A.C. gives campers the opportunity to work hard and play hard while learning to value themselves and others. At T.R.A.C., campers are encouraged to reach and set their own personal goals. Campers will learn how to work with their team on a challenge course, as well as other indoor and outdoor activities.

T.R.A.C. volunteers attending camp are interviewed, background checked and thoroughly trained in the T.R.A.C. policies. Standards for working with youth in foster care, along with guidelines of interacting with these teens at camp, are also provided during training.

T.R.A.C. volunteers have a compassionate heart for teens who have experienced abuse and neglect. We have a passion to encourage positive hope for each camper’s future. Each camp needs both men and women volunteers.
