YOU LIVE IN INDIANA and you love your Facebook community. Staying in touch with people, building a virtual community, posting information about worthy organizations, and getting comments and likes and followers really makes your day! You are creative, a very good communicator, like being part of an organizer, but like to be able to make decisions and be spontaneous!
We are ChangingFootprints.org, and we need you. (!!!) We collect quality used shoes in the Indy area, sort them, and delivery them free to 100+ different organizations every year. We need a person who is full of ideas, loves to communicate, and would love to spend an hour a day or an hour a week as our Facebook Fanatic.
You can post info or pictures about shoe sortings we are doing, or opportunities to do shoe sortings. Talk about our shipments to Ukraine and Mississippi and the Afghan resettlement program, about shoe drives that are going on, or pictures of our sorting room. Whatever you can come up with, and whatever we send to you.
BUT.. it's not a "JOB". You do it when you have time, which may be two hours one day and then not again for three weeks. You're a reporter, an editor, a writer, a poster - and you don't have to leave home!
And you will accomplish a lot! We've never had anyone do this, so we only post every month or two. So our following is small, our likes are small, and you can double/triple that with hardly trying.
Note: you MUST live in our area, Central Indiana. We want to be able to show you our shoe sorting room and have you meet us in person.
Want to talk more about what you could do? You could make a real difference. Call me.Bob Broughton, co-founder www.changingfootprints.org 317-727-4186. 10291 N. Meridian Street, Carmel, IN

About Changing Footprints
Location:

Mission Statement
Changing Footprints realizes the great need for shoes around the world as protection from diseases and a gateway to education. Because of that need we collect new and gently used shoes for distribution to homeless, disaster-stricken, or underprivileged people locally, nationally, and internationally regardless of race, religion, gender, or ethnicity.
Description
Changing Footprints collects used shoes from a variety of sources: collection bins at shoe stores and churches, shoe drives by schools, churches, civic and governmental agencies, and donations of customer returns by shoe companies. We sort, classify by type, and quality check, and then provide the right type of shoes at no charge to agencies, individuals, and organizations who put them on the feet of those in need. We are a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff and provide 15,000 pair of shoes per year to those in need, locally, in the US, and to international destinations. This diverts shoes otherwise destined for landfills to a important cause, educates our youth that they can make a personal difference, helps those in need, as well as those that volunteer their time, effort, and ideas. We are a flat organization that supports any volunteer with an idea they would like to try - in the words of our youth, "it's all good".
