PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Do you have an interest in working with refugees and/or asylum seekers? Do you have a passion for international humanitarian law and human rights? Do you want to help reconnect families separated by conflict or disaster? Then this is the role for you! The International Services department within the American Red Cross works to reconnect separated family members and educate the community on the international laws that protect our human rights. We hope you will consider joining our team!
OPEN TIME DAYS
The time commitment required for these volunteer opportunities varies from a couple of hours a week to 10-15 hours per week. We can work with you to find a role that best matches your availability.
Depending on the position, some combination of the following trainings:
*Orientation to Red Cross.
*International Services Self-Study Guide
*International Humanitarian Law
*Restoring Family Links Outreach Guide
*Restoring Family Links Self-Study Guide
*Restoring Family Link Casework Training
*Disaster Services: An Overview (Module One).
*Psychological First Aid.
