Beak n Wings does offer community service/diversion hours to those without convictions against animals.

NEEDED: Volunteer application, you can pick up at the facility or download from our website, https://beaknwings.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/2021-Volunteer-Application-Form.pdf , and the release form https://beaknwings.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/2021-Release-form-for-Members-Volunteers-1.pdf we will give you waivers to sign when you are onsite. Interview required.

What we offer:

1: Cage cleaning
2: Bird stand cleaning
3: Light cleaning at the facility (sweep, mop, and vacuum, toilet cleaning etc..)
4: Dusting book shelves, and other areas.

5: Feeding and watering of birds
6: We will train you to handle the birds

7: We now require that all volunteers who work with birds, go through either our basic bird care class, or our advanced course.

8: You will also be able to attend events with the group (in the public or at the facility) to earn the hours you need. Some events in the public are 2 day, totaling 14 + hours.

We do ask that all volunteers volunteer a minimum of 2 days a week (6-16 hours, depending on weekdays or weekends)
