YTA Summer Camp
Fun! Fun! and More Fun!

YOU CAN HELP!

WHY: To introduce creative arts and athletics from a variety of community role models who will share their own love of the arts and athletics to inspire the next generation of leaders.

WHAT: Participate as a Volunteer in Harambee Time! Volunteer 30 minutes, Monday - Thursday mornings in the summer. Read aloud to 15 - 30 minutes. Share about yourself, answer questions about the book (and maybe your favorite color).You can provide a book or bring your own. Branch out and recite your favorite poem or sonnet or tell a story about why/how reading changed your life. Volunteer by teaching an enrichment class or being a camp leader.

WHERE: POP FAMILY CENTER in Baton Rouge Louisiana

DARE TO DREAM PROGRAMMING INCLUDE:

Creative Arts, Writing, Dance, Drama, and Athletics

Social Etiquette, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership Development

Learn and rehearse drama, dance, and musical productions created just for you, perform for your family and friends, wear and keep fabulous new costumes and do it all while gaining invaluable performing experience! Students will practice memorization skills, develop better musical awareness, gain self-confidence, learn to work together as a team and explore their own self-expression.

Our YTA "Dare 2 Dream" Summer Camp teaches enrichment, education, and leadership development class. We introduce cultural enrichment, educational activities, character development, etiquette, STEM, creative arts, sports and recreation from a variety of community role models who will share their own passion and love for kids to inspire the next generation of leaders. Students will practice reading, strategic thinking and memorization skills. Develop musical awareness, gain self-confidence, learn to work together as a team and explore their own self-expression.

Through this program, student will discover their talents, take their techniques beyond the camp, and get it on a fun, rewarding experience that will last a lifetime. Make a difference in your community with hope, education and action. Campers are motivated, stimulated, and inspired to dare to dream and made their dreams a reality.

People of Purpose assert that this organization exists to ensure that all human beings have the chance to realize their fullest potential...no matter what the obstacle, no matter what the challenge. Our purpose is to be a present help to those in need during their time of crisis or life challenges to help guide and encourage them through their journey towards wholeness and fulfilling their purpose.
