PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Multiple Options: Recruit Blood Donors; Screen Blood Donors; Operate Canteen; Schedule Events and Shifts; Provide Office and Administrative Assistance; Proctor Orientations for Volunteers and Employees. Blood Services Volunteer Coordinator will discuss options and best fit with applicants depending on desire, skill, schedule and location.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Donor Ambassador: ⦆5 hour shift, 1 days/month, typical hours between 9am-7pm.⦆ Generally weekdays Monday-Friday.⦆ Occasional Saturdays available, rare Sundays available
Community Outreach Specialist:⦆ ⦆3-4 hour shift, 2-4 days/month, typical hours between 11am-7pm, weekdays and weekends
Biomedical Office Assistant:⦆ ゥ to full dayク1-4 days/week, typical hours between 9am-5pm, Monday thru Friday.
Scheduling Specialist:⦆ flexible
shift with evening availability, 1-4 days/week,
New Employee Orientation (NEO) Proctor:⦆ 2 pre-established
days/month on Monday and Tuesday, hours between 8:30am-4:30pm
Donor Ambassador:
• Orientation to American Red Cross (completed during Volunteer Connection intake)
• Donor Ambassador Training
Volunteer Scheduling Specialist, Biomedical Office Assistant, and Community Outreach Specialist:
• Orientation to American Red Cross (completed during Volunteer Connection intake)
• On the job training
New Employee Orientation (NEO) Proctor:
• Red Cross orientation (accomplished during Volunteer Connection Intake; supplemented by Biomed Services New Employee Orientation class)
• Instruction on specific technology is provided
